B&B Terrazza Belfiore

The host, Gianluca, was very kind, friendly, and accommodating! He really made the B&B feel like a welcoming, cozy place! We stayed in the Anemone room and found it perfect for the two of us. I appreciated the abundance of extra pillows, and even when I requested a spare blanket, one was on the bed upon our return to the room. The bathroom was adequate; the shower felt great after a long day of walking around, and it even had a bidet. If you’re from the US, washcloths are not a thing in Italy, so be sure to bring a poof or something similar to bathe with. There was an AC in our room, and I really loved that it was remote controlled. I was excited to discover we had Rollläden (German Shutters) in our room, as on our first day there, we needed to sleep off our jet lag, and they blocked out all light from outside. I appreciated that it was in a gated area and you needed a code to get in. The area felt very safe though! For the light sleepers out there, I'd rate it 4/5 for room noise. I could hear sirens outside, but not any other normal noise, and every now and then I'd hear a room neighbor. Not soundproof, but not to the point where I couldn't sleep. About 20 minutes by foot to the Duomo. We enjoyed our daily walk, as we got to see more of Florence, instead of going by transportation, but it is very close to the train station if you want to take the tram instead. The room was perfect for our needs. We'd eat breakfast out on the terrace in the morning (fresh from the local bakery), then explore Florence and the area during the day, and come back and crash for the night. I also enjoyed that the B&B used sustainable practices. It's always a nice surprise when you find that at a hotel.

Gianluca is an amazing host! Very helpful in every way. The apartment id a short walk from the train station and close to major public transport lines. We would definitely stay at B&B Terrazza Belfiore again.
