Golden Gate Dream Rooms

Well equipped small flat in a fantastic location.

The only downside people need to note is the spiral staircase access, the only sort that could be built into such a historic building (so no, it could not have been better in that sense)

Everything was awesome

The steps were not good.

The locations was superb

There was a lot of noise late at night and early morning from the other residents

Really interesting location, very close to the port and smack in the middle of Diocletian's Palace. The host and her husband were very responsive and accommodating. The room had some nice thoughtful treats in the cupboard which we appreciated. Nice view of the bell tower from the window.

Going upstairs was quite risky and dangerous, I was aware that the room was built into the palace walls but I didn't expect the staircase to feel ancient as well. It was very scary going up and down the staircase especially with a large piece of luggage. The room could be better, the furnishings were quite tacky (the overly erotic art on the walls weren't too tasteful) and a bit dated. We also noticed that the gas stove was left open by the previous guest but thankfully it didn't leak. The room is teeny tiny (it was quite difficult moving around in the bathroom) but this is quite understandable as it was built into the old walls.
