Nordoy Hotel - FATTAL COLORS

This is a beautifully-renovated hotel in an iconic building, offering a uniquely peaceful stay amid the buzz, life and heat of central Tel Aviv. A short walk from the beach, the bustling shuk (market), artsy cobblestoned Neve Tzedek, or the stunning Bauhaus buildings around tree-lined Rothschild boulevard – it's perfect for an easy local minibreak, or a good base for exploring wider-afield by bus or train. We loved our comfortable light-filled room, sunny balcony ovelooking the streetlife beneath, the pretty roof terrace with its free wine-dispenser and treats, and the delicious and abundant breakfasts in the elegant cafe. But most of all we loved the gorgeous staff, who were genuinely welcoming and went out of their way to make sure our stay was special. Having not visited Israel for a decade, I really appreciated the warmth and care that made it feel like coming 'home' to the hotel each evening. We only had a short 3-day stay but packed in shopping at the craft and Carmel markets, visiting family and friends (including a family wedding in Caesaria), strolling by the sea, an architectural walk and a delicious starlit meal (at Suzana, highly recommended). We would have seen more on a longer visit but this was perfect, with plenty of iced coffee interludes in the dappled TA streets. I had the impression from other reviews that the hotel was mostly geared towards couples. But travelling with my 80yo Mum, we were shown alternative rooms so we could decide which room suited us best, and Avital in particularly was a superstar, solving problems with a twinkly smile and breezy Israeli cool. We had a big, genuine hug on leaving – I hope we'll be back again soon.

Not a big deal for us but the Jacuzzi in the landmark dome on the roof terrace wasn't in operation at the time of our stay.

Listen here I’ve been in many places in the world. First off the woman in the front desk Avital is absolutely amazing she is there not just to be there she is there with a passion. The rooms are big and the beds pillows are comfortable. The shower amazing everything is spot on clean. The rooftop is peaceful with little treats cookies crackers and a wine dispenser with 6 bottles that you just press a button and out goes your wine. Breakfast is delicious. Last but not least location the hotel is in the middle of all the bars restaurants markets you want something it’s there for all ages. Honestly this hotel is my go to when I am in Tel Aviv it’s my first time here but definitely not my last.

Not a thing loved it all

The room was great, spacious with a huge bed. Service was good especially from Avital.

We loved the small, boutique feel of the hotel—it was quiet and relaxing while still being in an amazing central location. The rooftop was a highlight, and the free unlimited wine was such a great touch. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We loved it so much that we even extended our stay! We will definitely be coming back every time we’re in Tel Aviv.
