B&B The Tower

Excellent room and an absolutely wonderful stay. The landlady and landlord were both kind, as was the head of housekeeping. The rooftop is amazing and one of the highlights of the property. What I especially appreciated was the personal touch. Even on the occasions when I arrived late for breakfast, they would kindly put everything back out for me. The whole experience felt warm, welcoming, and genuinely personal. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. Five out of five stars.

Z jedynych minusów słabe śniadania. Jeżeli czegoś zabrakło nie zostało uzupełniane.

It is advertised with private parking nearby. We were four motorcycles. When we arrived at the Tower, we were told that we should not have entered as it is a pedestrian area. We are now expecting to receive a traffic infringement fine. The private parking is 2.3 km away. I was contacted by phone to indicate my time of arrival. They should have informed me to go directly to the parking area, (free shuttle service available). It would have made our stay much happier.

The building is ideally located in the heart of Tropea but a block away from the noise and bustle of the main street. The property is in an old building that has been artfully restored, with some attractive exposed stone blended in with contemporary walls and stairways. The room I stayed in was on the top floor - it had windows on three sides of the room, which made it incredibly light and airy. I just left the windows open the entire stay and had a nice view of the sea. The room was next to the breakfast common room and access to the terrace, but surprisingly there was not much noise noticeable from the room. The terrace has a wonderful sea view as well and is quite large - I think a small restaurant could have seating up there to be the first rooftop restaurant in old Tropea... it works in Amalfi! The room itself was spacious, as was the bathroom. The staff was very helpful and responsive! Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The bathroom in the room I had came with a jacuzzi tub. It was an old and tired-looking unit that has seen better days, and the showering in this tub was slightly precarious if standing up. If it was my property I think I'd get rid of this old unit and put in a normal shower or shower/tub - the bathroom is luxuriously large and a very nice modern shower could be installed and make the experience much better.
