Clean and comfortable

Location was difficult for us to access evening dining locally. My wife is disabled and I have difficulty driving at night so walking to a restaurant is not an easy process.

Really friendly host, who accommodated our late arrival. House was lovely but was not what we expected. Very much a homely B&B - rooms inside someones house.

The door to one of the bedrooms wouldnt shut properly. Not enough pillows on beds. Needed a bit more ambient lighting. The main issue was the owner saying they didnt lock the front door which made my son feel unsafe. I appreciate its a quiet neightbourhood but we arent used to leaving doors unlocked. A tiny amount of toilet roll provided and no spare rolls available which ran out so we had a rather uncomfortable night. The melon served at breakfast was off. It smelt and tasted of vinegar and was inedible. My husband and son both felt uncomforable so we didnt stay to use the facilities (which was why we booked it!).
