*Get out while you can* The description of this place is grossly inaccurate. It is at least 30+ years old. It has not been maintained. From the moment you pull up the place looks neglected. The lawn is so over grown I’m really not sure where this so-called badminton net would be erected. There is no shingles on one half of the roof and the water damage was evident everywhere inside. It looks like they sided over the “log cabin” probably due to water damage. The smell of mildew was prominent. The mattresses were probably as old at the house, my husband woke with spring marks on his back. There was issues with the plumbing during our stay where we had no cold water upstairs (I.e couldn’t flush toilet) and were never compensated for the inconvenience. The tap water isn’t safe to drink and we were left us empty jugs for drinking water. There is very little to do that is within a reasonable driving distance and the beach near by is only ideal for swimming mid- late August (locals reported to us). We tried it out since we were stuck there (asked for a refund since this place is not described well and we were refused) and it was indeed freezing cold. There is a view- I guess. If you can look past the overgrown yard and surrounding rubbish. The lady maintaining the place was however overly to deal with.

Overall we were very happy with our stay.

It was a major communication disaster with check in. Thank you to Vrbo for assistance and the host for finding resolution. However, the monetary compensation did not change the experience. Yes, we did finally get in, and the areas were cleaned after we arrived, but it was beyond stressful. Thank you to my niece who reached out to Vrbo on my behalf and the host contacting me the next day. Also, to the caretaker we tracked down in the community that cleaned areas that needed desperately needed to be cleaned. It was not cleaned from having guests prior and appeared it had been closed for several months by the large number of dead flies

A nice property and great host. On short notice his well ran out of water. But he was kind enough to let us stay anyway. He gave a discount and paid for water we needed to buy .

Stay was enjoyed by adult children and grandchildren. House, view of Atlantic and days at the beach were great.

One of the negative aspects was the grass was not cut so to get from our vehicle to the house we were walking in tall grass, plus the windows on the bottom level did not lock.
