Hotel De4dames

The bed was so comfy that I fell asleep after dinner & missed one of my main reasons for staying which was the star-gazing! The room is spacious with lots of warm, ambient lighting. It was very peaceful staying her. I ate dinner in the restaurant at the hotel and the food was exceptional too & reasonably priced. I had to leave before the breakfast started & so mentioned this to the staff when I checked in. The next morning when I was ready to check-out, I was handed a breakfast pack (a big ham, cheese & rocket baguette, a mousse / yoghurt, an apple, orange juice & water) - very impressed! Thank you for a really lovely stay! As I'm living in the Netherlands at the moment, I shall definitely be back on another clear night for the star-gazing that I missed this time! ;)

I booked at the very last minute so I was unsure if I would find somewhere with vacancies as it was such a warm, sunny early October day. This was a lovely place to stay, however, the 170Euro bed & breakfast price-tag was about 50Euro higher than I feel it was worth

We really enjoyed the restaurant below the hotel, and for breakfast they even made something separate for me since I do not eat dairy/meat. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, you always felt welcome! The location was also really great, albeit most things are in walking distance anyway, but it was located very close to the bike rental shop and the supermarket

The room was slightly underwhelming, in particular the bathroom considering the price

Almost everything in this place was really good. The breakfast was really good, the location was great right in the middle of the little city The place is also a pub and a restaurant so you can also eat or have a drink there The staff was also super kind

The only cons was that our room window was in the same side of the pub and during the evening people would talk loud right on your ear if you want to sleep

This hotel enjoys a prime location in the only village on Schiermonnikoog, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars, and museums. We were greeted by friendly staff, though check-in was a little slow - there’s no dedicated desk, and we waited about 10 minutes before being helped. Our room was of reasonable size and clean. On the positive side, the hotel’s restaurant was excellent, with an impressive wine list and a surprisingly good whiskey bar - by far the highlight of our stay. Would we come here again for dinner? Absolutely. Would we stay overnight again? Probably not.

Breakfast was in line with typical Dutch standards: technically complete but limited in selection and below average in quality. Housekeeping also lacked attention to detail, as toiletries in the bathroom were not proactively replaced. The room was poorly soundproofed, so we could clearly hear people in the corridor.
