We stayed twice, before we boarded the Havila Ferry and afterwards. We had breakfast, dinner, as well as enjoyed the afternoon tea one of the days. They provided gluten free options, and had a variety of foods during both meals. This was the most comfortable room we stayed in during our time in Oslo and Bergen. We did not like the view into the courtyard the first stay but the corner room facing the water was lovely. Both rooms had the most comfortable bed and linens of our stays in Norway. They also had heated towel racks and room to hand your clothes, a desk and chair. The hotel was recently renovated so kept all its charm plus modern comforts. I would only book this hotel if I return to Bergen. Communications with management was also excellent.

We loved this hotel, it is really beautiful and the staff is very friendly and kind. I want to give a special thanks to Anastasia, I want to recognize her level for attention and her kindness. She gave me directions about places to visit in Tromsø and those recommendations were incredible. I wanted to thank you in person for this, but I was not able to see you after the interaction. Talking about the hotel, this place is awesome, is incredible comfortable and it is located in a very good spot. We were able to walk to the main attractions of the city in a very short-period of time.

Excellent location, especially if you are spending a few days in Bergen coming off a cruise ship. It is walkable from the cruise port, but with luggage, we opted for a taxi. Extremely close to the lovely Bryggen shops. High ceilings in room made it feel spacious. Thick walls helped deaden hallway sounds. Lovely reception area. Charming old building.

Felt that room was worn and underwhelming for the price that we paid. (Almost $1,000 USD for two nights in a basic room.) The curtains didn't work. The throw pillows on the beds were sad. Bed linens were clean, but not crisp and inviting. Very little counter space in bathroom. Hair that wasn't ours in the shower. Hotel seems to be popular with travel groups. Lot's of people coming in and out. Road construction with jackhammers right outside our room that lasted from 8a to midnight. (Not the hotel's fault, but they could have compensated us somehow.)
