The Maritime

The food was good and the staff were attentive and friendly. When we asked to move rooms after the first night, the change was made without any questions which was a relief - 'Thank you' to the young lady on reception who made that happen. Both rooms we stayed in were well equipped. (See views from the top floor room attached).

We spent our first night of two in a first floor room overlooking the bay across the road. The noise from the road was so loud that on more than one occasion we checked that the windows were actually closed. They were, but the standard of sound proofing definitely needs improving. We both had a very poor nights sleep! For the second night we moved to a room on the 4th floor that was quieter, and we both slept better. If we return it would only be to stay in a top floor room.

Little pricey, shower was freezing then boiling and took a while to settle down. Swimming hat had to be purchased to use the pool but others were in not wearing them. Bit of a maze, I expect that the hotel has been extended several times

Second time staying here this year and again it was a great stay. Very relaxed hotel. The staff are excellent.

Very small issue, I felt our room smelt like smoke
