Good Location close to the popular Sardinero beachfront area. Spacious room. Staff was overall friendly.
The age of the facility is becoming somewhat visible. You pay a fairly elevated price for the location- not for an outstanding service or fancy facility.

Location of hotel was perfect for our need to be close to the coast (lighthouse area) to view the solar eclipse. Room was large, plenty of storage.
We had to get staff a couple of times to show us how to operate the safe. In the end, an engineer came and adjusted the mechanism to get it to work properly.
The worst thing was the shower area. Its a good shower but has no door or bund wall to stop water flowing into the main bathroom. This must have happened many times as both the toilet door and main bathroom door had swollen so badly with the water that they could not be shut.

Food was good for half board, especially dinner. Breakfast was repetitive and not much to chose from. Position was very good close to the beach (800 m).
Friendly staff tried to help.
Persistent bad odor from the sewers system. We didn't hear any extraction ventilation so the stench continuously built up event with the windows open.
We changed the room but the new room had the same issue - no ventilation in the bathroom and the odor was bad.
Also garage parking was paid separately 16 EUR/night. Available free spots outside in front of the hotel were very narrow and crowded.
