I booked an apartment with a balcony - it was clean and tidy, very spacious and had everything I needed. The kitchen was well equipped with nothing broken or missing. Bathroom had a spacious shower with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The pool bar is great as is the bar in the evening. I didn't eat dinner here but heard good things about a great buffet with good cooking, costs about 16 euros for that. I did have breakfast included and that was an excellent experience. Fabulous fast coffee machines with everything from lattes to espressos, choice of hot stuff including eggs and bacon, lots of cooked meats, cheese and baked goods, cereals, fresh fruit- I could go on! The resort gardens are beautiful, the pools were great and the sunbeds and umbrellas comfortable and modern and were always available during my September 2026 stay. La Palma is not a party place which is exactly what I was looking for. I got a complimentary bottle of wine and bottled water on arrival which was lovely too. Bed and pillows very comfortable - no overnight noise and slept well. I will definitely return to this hotel.

I booked a taxi to the airport via booking.com and it did not arrive. Luckily the local 500 bus is every half hour on weekdays so that saved the day. Incidently the bus route is easy - you just wait at the pharmacy bus shelter over the road and here you can get buses to Santa Cruz or to the airport - all from this same side of the road - make sure you have cash in euros of small amounts. Hotel Las Olas itself had no downsides for me - it was great value for money and a lovely holiday.
