Hotel Margaret

Amazing location--so close to the train station on a very nice and lively block, if you arrive late in the day it's easy to find some dinner very nearby and if you're a solo traveler arriving at night it's quite bright and safe-feeling. And also proximal to everything else in the historic center. Very clean and well-maintained classic Florence hotel, good value for such a centrally-located hotel.

It suited me perfectly, but note that there is no elevator so if you cannot climb one short flight of stairs it is not for you.

The hotel was 5 minutes walk from the station and a lot of historical sites. The room was clean, quiet and had character. Friendly and helpful staff. Would happily stay there again.

My room was very close to reception which meant some noise during the day.

Great location—super close to the train station, yet surprisingly quiet. The air conditioning works great! Staff are really sweet and helpful, and you can store your luggage after check-out, which was super convenient.

Just a heads-up: they don't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or a mini-fridge, but everything else you need is there. The room looks a bit dated, but it's totally fine.

Clear places that need cleaning, especially in the bathroom, regarding black spots. Towels were sport towels, which was completely outrageous as it is a one star hotel, and not someone's low quality Airbnb. Our room was right next to the staff room (wall sharing), a senior, which ruined the couple's intimacy. In the room it is said that they have a laundry service, asking staff, it was not available. As we got to the Hotel, we immediately looked into other options, which if booked last minute, would deliver much more quality for a much lower price. We also asked for a double bed, and were delivered two single beds placed together.
