El desayuno escaso

Our stay of one night in Hotel Escaleta, Seix, was an absolute hoot. The hotel offers simple comfort and dining high in the Pyrenees. The cleanliness and welcome are just right and the cheerful informality of the bar area very welcome. The bar/hotel is right on the town square, busy when we were there with summer visitors, cyclists and walkers and the square makes for easy parking when not in use for the market or some artistic display. What made our stay outstanding was the evening jam session of local musicians of all styles and abilities. Once set up it seemed all and sundry were welcome to join the band for a stomping series of folk-jazz numbers. And just to round off the evening we were treated to the mother-and-father of all hail storms. A wonderful memory.

Nothing.

Nice hotel in good location with good parking facilities
