HOTEL MYSTAYS Kameido

It is affordable and there is a convenience store across it and a nearby mall (Kameido Clock) with a huge Grocery inside. The mall also has lots of store that you can explore (There is GU and Uniqlo). The Kameido train station is also a walking distance if the weather is nice (why? If its raining so hard, you’ll be drenched since there are no coverings in the streets and its a 4-5min walk from the station). There are also nearby restaurants, book-off (manga books), and cafes if you just explore the area.

The location is quite far from the main streets. Although the train is accessible, Tokyo’s train system can be pricey and complicated, especially with multiple transfers. We spent around ¥10–11k/person on transportation for 8 days, including the airport train. We might have saved ₱2–3k on accommodation, but I’d rather pay a little more for a hotel in a more convenient location to avoid the hassle! Also, amenities are refillable at the lobby (incl. towels and bed covers) but take note that there is an additional price if you do a room clean-up (its not for free) so if you’re staying more than 4 days in Tokyo, it might be reasonable to look for a hotel that offers this since it might be smelly on the 5th day already most especially the CR.

The staff were very lovely. It has a laundry and is right across from a Lawson. They will also send your luggage to the next hotel if needed. I always send my luggage instead of lugging it around, it makes travelling soooo much easier.

The room is a bit on the smaller side. We thankfully only had 1 suitcase, but it still was a tight fit to open it up fully. The location ended up being not very convenient for us. Although the hotel is not too far a walk from the station, we had to transfer trains a few times to get to some of the locations we wanted to get to.
