5-10 min walk to Puno's main square, although the city is busier further on. Probably 20-30 min walk to lakefront and bus terminal. Quiet street (and fairly quiet room). Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious room with luggage stands and table and chairs. Good views over Puno city. Best Internet in three weeks in Peru. Good hot water once the water arrives. Typical breakfast. Hot water thermos availiable for tea. Daily housekeeping. Helped with tours. Would consider it again if my budget was tight.
The room was not heated but it was OK if you keep enough clothes on. Hot water took awhile to arrive. Could hear noisy guests in the stairwell. Over-bed lamps didn't work. Generally the Oscar shows some wear and tear and is looking a little tired but was tidy and clean enough and pretty good value for the money.

Staff is good, bes isn't so comfortable but good value for money with 2 minutes walking to plaza de armas where you can find tour operators and restaurants around closeby
Bed wasn't so conformable
