No complaints whatsoever

The room was clean, bright & comfortable. I was in a quiet end room which was perfect & the historic lift to the third floor was a bonus as I’m still recovering from a recent knee operation. The location was perfect & I have been a patron there many times at the bar & restaurant in the past decades but the recent upgrades were brilliant. The old lift transported me back to my childhood when many such lifts were in operation..some with operators! I smiled the whole way up & down remembering!

That I only needed to stay one night! If I had a need to stay longer It would have been perfect. The atmosphere was great, the food was brilliant & there was plenty on the menu to keep me happy!

Room 203 Brillant location as I travelled by train. Room was small yet perfectly formed, everything needed for my short stay. Fantastic bathroom. The luxurious design and fittings felt *****. Beautiful! Love the olde world charm of the hotel. Art Deco. A guest lounge for lounging, cocktails and canapes would be an occasion. Like the Hydo Majestic.

The bed is beginning to sag in the middle. The drone from the extractor/exhaust fans outside. Easy fix, next visit I will request an external room with ensuite if available.

Good location, nice renovated place, comfy beds

I understand loud music in bars, but when you cant sleep until 3am because they turn into a nightclub with bass so strong it is shaking the furniture in the whole building, windows and wardrobe doors are resonating nonstop with the music being almost as loud as being downstairs, its quite hard to sleep, watch tv or do anything. There should be a warning when booking this place that you wont be able to sleep during weekends here and from 10pm till 3am you wont close your eyes if you wanted to rest
