BruStar Gotic-Centric

I don't know what to say about this place, the most important thing is the location,it's in the centre of everything, walking distance, metro, busses ,it's perfect location, Bed was rather comfortable, refrigerator in the room ,TV for the ones interested on watching TV instead of the amazing castles or museums or buildings, normal size shower or toilet, The cleaner fixes the beds everyday and if asked or drop the towels on the floor replace them,we prefer a more ecological economical approach for example in a 5 days stay as we had once or twice a week the room to be cleaned if needed,

3 different passwords to be able to enter our room since there is a reception and keys could be handed. The room needs renovation. The door of the balcony doesn't lock and exactly stack on the same balcony there is another room and we where afraid of being robbed. Going out of the room there is a permanent smell of dirty molted sheets . I wish we could choose between do not disturb and do my room option. The cleaner never mobs the floor in the rooms which is 2 minutes job.

Great location, loved the balcony room was clean, spacious and bright, felt very safe!

N/A maybe would be nice if there was a room to hold luggage pre and post stay :)

Location was great, close to bus stops and metro stations and at a walkable distance from the beach and the historic center. We were unsure if we'd have a fridge in the room and we're glad to find that we did. We were also glad for the AC. The staff helped us when we had some problems with the locker inside the room and gave us a good suggestion for luggage storage after we checked out. We did not have any insect problems.

There was a small gap under our front door which made us hear other guests as if they were in the same room with us. The bed sheets were stained. They seemed clean but maybe they were in need of some bleaching? That was a pretty bad first impression. Being aware of the hostal's cleaning policy, we asked for a broom to do a bit of cleaning ourselves. Even so, we were denied and told that the cleaning would happen in the next day.

The property was very centrally located and the room was spacious and cozy

The cleaning service was terrible, they didn’t clean during the normal days and then on the supposed “cleaning day” they even didn’t check the bathroom and the towels. On the last day they didn’t clean at all and not even did the bed and when we asked for explanation they said it was a mistake and forgot
