Quiet countryside location. Excellent restaurant on site for certain nights. Accommodation was excellent for most except people with mobility difficulties where the stairs to the bedrooms may present a problem.

The hotel was in a very pleasant, quiet, rural location. The room was well equipped and modern and the bed very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good but the extent of the provision was obviously limited due to the small number of guests. Parking on site was extensive, safe and secure.

On arrival we were met by a charming lady who showed us our room and the communal area. She briefly mentioned the availability of a coffee machine but not how to use it. We asked about reserving a table for dinner Wednesday evening and were informed that the restaurant was only open in the evening on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. She did not agree that the hotel site on Booking.com stated that the restaurant would be open for our visit, stating that it was open for lunches each day. As our stay was 17.00 on a Wednesday to checking out at 10.00 on Thursday the information on the link to the hotel that "the restaurant will be open during your stay" is incorrect and misleading. We would not have booked if we had known the true facts. There was no facility to sit outside and have a drink. The cafe was closed and we were not in a situation to ask as the last thing the owner said after greeting us on arrival was see you at breakfast. If there were staff available they were nowhere to be seen. Infact we felt we were there to fit in with their lives rather than them offering the correct hotel service mentioned on the web site. The stairs to room 1 were steep, narrow with no handrail. With luggage they are very dangerous.

Property is outdated. No wifi reception. Shower was dirty.
