Amazing location for a trip around the south area. The backdrop is beautiful mountains and waterfalls. Great location for Auroras

Very quaint hotel surrounded by farms. It was a last minute hotel change for us and we were so glad to have found it. It was our favorite hotel and food on our 7 night stay in Iceland. We loved the history of the building the food was spectacular. We would stay there again if we go back for another visit to Iceland.

Lovely location - we stayed in the main building. It was comfortable with antique-style furnishings in the room and historic farm guesthouse. Breakfast was generous with both traditional Icelandic foods (including pickled herring!) and eggs, bacon, and crepes with skyr & jams. It was interesting to read exhibits about Anna and her passion for travel and writing! Staff was wonderful - very helpful and kind.

The room was nice and the hotel has a very rustic decor
Staff was impatient and rude, the hot tubs did not warm up and the staff claimed they cannot warm them, they are also outside the hotel across the parking lot with no changing rooms nearby. It was a windy night indeed but we spend the next night in similar conditions and the hot tub was hot and not issues. It really feels they just wanted to save money on us since we were the only ones staying. The bathroom in our room had a sliding door that was very old and due to the wind the air duct made a lot of noise all through the night.
