La Compagnia del Chianti

This place is great. It is located in a beutiful Tuscan village, steps away from the village bar, bakery, supermarket and pharmacy. We (2 couples) stayed in their bigest apartment, The verrazano which is apart from the other apartments and has a private parking just in front the gate. Beutiful patio, spacious rooms and each bedroom has a bathroom so perfect for 2 couples or a family. iTs on the ground floor so no need to schlep luggage up stairs or long distances. The host, Giada , is so friendly and welcoming and easy to communicate with. Overall great stay and we hope to return one day.

This unit is in the building next to the rest of the property. It has an advantage of privacy and easy access to the room and patio but there were relatively many steps (for us, older people) to reach the pool area and laundry room. Not something super hard. If you dont have knee problem you will do these steps easily. Also the area had many musquitos which is obviously out of the owner's control and they do provide musquito repelent devices and there are musquito nets on the windows. So not a huge problem.

On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and told of a street celebration in the town that evening. which was wonderful.

This place was exceptional. Giada was a fantastic host - a wealth of information and extremely helpful - even to the extent of navigating the tv so we could watch the All Blacks game! The accommodation had everything we needed - a kitchen well stocked with kitchen essentials and very spacious. Our outdoor terrace had an amazing view. The swimming pool was crystal clear and resort like. Thoughtful touches throughout the apartment made it special. A very easy walk to the supermarket and town centre. Can't wait to return one day!
