I don't think breakfast was available for our accomodations. Luca was the best host we have ever had in our travels. He greeted us every single time we came thru the gate. He provided excellent recommendations and even arranged for a driver to pick us up for a day on the Amalfi coast on one day and arranged a visit to a small family farm that produces olive oil, lemon everything and various cheeses. The location of La Rupe was nicely secluded yet walking distance to everything you would want to do in Sorrento. Cannot recomment Relais La Rupe enough!!
Only complaint I had was my ankles got chewed by the mosquitos, but that happens everywhere I go. I really can't say anything bad about Relais La Rupe.

The property is interesting - as part of an old Palazzo, there is a lot of history and a large garden. Overlooking a valley with a historic abandoned building at the bottom it is quite spectacular looking out down towards the main area of Sorrento. It feels quite private perched above the street with a short walk to bars & restaurants.
Overall, I think this property is tired.
The gardens need some work.
The sofas outside the guest rooms look dishevelled with the covers not fitting correctly.
The pool filter area is below the pool deck and the hinged door was left open - somebody could easily fall down the stairs. The pool area needs a freshen up - white walls streaked black.
The tables under the pergola need to have the tiles glued down and cleaned.
