Moruya Monarch Hotel

The hotel was central, l loved the character of the building, a lot of history between the four walls. A bit of doof doof but it was Saturday night after all. I was young once.

Nothing it was great

Great parking, easy access to the room. Large funky room. Bar was quiet and comfortable.

Unfortunately no food was not on at night, tried a pizza up the road really not great.

Good price for a last minute spur of the moment booking. Staff were friendly and respectful. They even called to check how my drive down from Sydney was going when they noticed I was late.

However lots of things I really didn't like. Biggest one of them was the noise from surrounding rooms with large families. They made noise all night long. Talking loudly, letting their kids run around the corridor late at night on the corridor floor boards. Constantly opening and slamming doors. Constantly opening and closing water taps. Just absolute chaos. The other thing I didn't like was that my room didn't even have a chair or table one could sit on. Just a bed and fridge and that was it. No place to sit properly on. Also TV was not working and it looked quite old. Very cramped room with little to know airflow. This why I cut my stay there abruptly. I had booked two nights but I could not bear staying in that room for another night. Just wasn't my cup of tea. And in all honesty, I should have checked properly when I was booking, Maybe I could have selected a more suitable room. In an effort to be respectful and not hurt feelings, I didn't want to air these grievances to the kind lady that I handed the keys to, when I was checking out. This review is not meant in bad taste. Just a description of my experience and show management what they can improve on.
