I like the staying. It was clean, location was in prime position, staff behavior was friendly.

Facilities was limited ,no electric blanket or heater in the winter season. They try to manage it by wood fueling. The bathroom was not upto the mark.

His local knowledge was invaluable, especially his recommendations for the best places to visit, many of which you would not easily find on the web. As a local explorer and trekker, his insights truly added depth to our experience. The room deserves a special mention. It was amazing, warm, and extremely comfortable. The traditional bukhari heater kept the room cozy, and the three clean woolen blankets provided made our nights very comfortable even in the cold weather. The entire room, like the rest of the houseboat, was lined with beautiful carpets, adding warmth and enhancing the authentic Kashmiri feel. The intricate wooden carvings on the walls, ceiling, and furniture made the space feel timeless and truly special. The common areas were equally charming. The dining space and sitting area were beautifully maintained, with handcrafted wooden furniture, detailed carvings, and a calm, inviting atmosphere. Everything was clean, well arranged, and thoughtfully kept, making it a pleasure to spend time indoors as well. The food was amazing and felt just like home cooked Kashmiri meals.

The bathroom is a bit old, but it was kept very clean. Hot water can be slightly tricky, as it comes from an external heater through metal pipes, and in sub zero temperatures the water cools quickly. This is understandable given the climate and did not take away from the overall comfort of the stay.

Iram Houseboat is a serene floating haven where the water whispers and the mountains watch quietly. I stayed here with my girlfriend and for a while the usual chaos of life felt like a distant memory. Fayaz is exceptional. Attentive, warm, and effortlessly kind, he makes the stay feel personal, like you are not just a guest but part of the story. If you are seeking calm, beauty, and a touch of genuine care, this is the place that stays with you.
