Asteria Family Resort Belek

The beach is great — fine sand, a long gentle entry and small waves, perfect for our 4-year-old. Beautiful grounds for walking. Angel's Club is the highlight: warm, patient staff, a structured programme every day and a mini disco every evening. Evening entertainment was excellent — the clown show, circus, animation team and Turkish Night all featured genuinely good performers. The patisserie makes the best coffee in the resort and has a great cake selection, and the gözleme with ayran is a 10/10 — it often replaced lunch for us. The kebab at the huts near the beach is the one snack worth seeking out. Rooms are older than the listing suggests, but housekeeping works hard and everything was clean. Tennis courts and table tennis were in good condition. Communication during the stay was very good.

Food looks varied but repeats — a lot of food rather than real choice. We expected far more meat and genuine Turkish dishes instead of endless variations with rice. Seafood was gritty with sand. Miss a meal window and you go hungry; there is no flexibility. The snack bar rotates the same burgers, hot dogs, pasta, nuggets and chips every day. All pools are cold, the Family pool coldest. The third bed for our child was a board with a very thin mattress — we didn't use it as it didn't look safe. Linen was changed only on request, not every three days. There are fairground rides and arcade machines inside an all-inclusive resort, right on the route from the restaurant to the mini disco, costing €5–15 — hard to explain to a small child every evening. We skipped the spa because the masseurs were too pushy. Pre-arrival communication was the real problem. I wrote several times to say we might land after 21:30 and ask whether a meal could be set aside for a family with a 4-year-old, then wrote again after landing. No reply at all. On arrival we were told nothing was open until 23:30. It took 20 minutes to get permission to order delivery, the food arrived half an hour late and was poor. One reply would have prevented all of it.

Everything was delicious. Housekeeping was a little off. I cannot say rooms were super clean. The rooms, hallway, elevator, room doors could use better cleaning.

Facilities, staff and food

Overall it was good enough. Unfortunatelly we needed a medical assitance at some point but the person in charge/location for medical assist was completely irrelevant and had no idea what he was doing

I like the garden and the while territory, many flowers and plants

The restaurant facilities are horrible, people are searching for the food and tables, the tables and floor are dirty. i would not back to this hotel.
