Hotel Restaurante Glasgow

This hotel is a great find. We weee walking the Portuguese Camino and went around the point by foot after the Caminha water taxi but didn’t want to stop at A Guarda. A huge storm pulled Up but we made it to this hotel. It’s clean and modern and we had a fine room with pool and ocean views. We rode out the storm in the fine bar and restaurant of the hotel. Staff were lovely and dinner was great and large and a good deal. Perfect refuge.

Not sure it has AC but has two pools!

Walking the Camino and we had read how beautiful the area was, with beach. However no beach so very grateful for the lovely pool area which had views and shade. Rooms were also very nice. Not much else to do in this town so actually not a place I would chose to stop at again. Limited restaurants, 2 were full and very pricey so we ended up buying takeaway food from the fuel stop which was good. Service was typical for August peak, understaffed. Bar for getting coffee/drinks was mostly unattended and had to find someone, not the staff fault, just not enough staff to do all the work.

More friendly attentive staff - more staff might help with this

The location is extremely convenient if you are walking the Camino.

The hotel deals with many large groups and the service seems impersonal. The restaurant service is something I have never seen before. Rushing around slamming down bottles of wine on the table. The food comes out at all different times. My sister was finished her meal before mine arrived. Like a cheap banquet hall. I never write bad reviews but this was comical. The cleaning chemicals were overwhelming in the room. However, the grounds are very nice and there is a beautiful outdoor pool that is nice after a long day.
