Valentino Corfu

A very pleasant, rather intimate property. The grounds were tidy and free of litter. Breakfast was excellent, with a somewhat home-style presentation. Contrary to other accounts regarding Corfu, there was no plague of wasps or mosquitoes. The view from the window was lovely—looking out over either the pool or the mountains. The staff asked daily if we wanted the room cleaned. The room’s interior had a slightly rustic style, yet the walls were freshly painted, the floors varnished, and the bathroom flooring was impeccable—with no signs of mold or grime. The floor tiles looked brand new. One more thing: we arrived at the hotel late at night (half past midnight), but the staff allowed us to check in independently, letting us know where the key to our room would be and leaving a light on to guide our way.

All in all, I have no serious complaints. However, a keen eye for detail would reveal water deposits—likely calcium carbonate or another mineral salt—on the lower parts of the shower enclosure, specifically on the sliding door tracks.

Recomming this superb little 16 suite hotel, fantastic staff (family run), great fresh homemade breakfast options, fantastic lunch menu too, peaceful and quiet location and pool area which is good for children too, short 700m walk to the seafront where there is plenty of food and drink options along Ipsos promenade.
