Minshuku Manten

This guest house locates to the Miyanoura port in 15 minutes waking distance. On the way you’ll find a supermarket where you can find anything you’ll need during the trip. To the nearest bus stop it’s about 13 minutes walking. So I like the location very much. The room is clean, however, Yakushima is an island full of lifes, so sometimes insects still sneak in. Hosts are friendly and kind and nice even though English might be a bit difficult for them. Try to use translator then! They have a Ramen (noodle) shop for lunch. Many local people come. It deserves a try.

Some facilities are a bit old or out of maintenance, for example, the knob of WC in my room which was broken.

The location was excellent - the property is located in a beautiful area with greenery and lots of butterflies. My room was very comfortable and it was lovely to be able to soak in the bath after a long day of exercise. Most of all, the staff were extremely kind and friendly, and were able to answer my questions about the island.
