Ambrose Hotel

We stayed for 1 night, with friends and family, double bedroom, family rooms. The hotel is bit old fashioned and had some different smell initially when we entered, could be possible for different detergent fragrance, not sure, which doesn't matter to us, upon opening the window, it was clear, however rooms were really spacious, clean, large and clean private bathroom. Towel, handwash, shower gel, tea/coffee, kettle common stuffs were provided. Hotel is very close to supper markets, foods, McDonald's, KFC etc. It has a bar on ground floor, enclosed private parking. The stairs need to be careful with for physically challenged persons. Additionally a microwave and dishes were supplied in the common passage which is really helpful. Thanks to the hotel. Overall the hotel was fabulous to us and we enjoyed our stay there.

It was clean cheap and cheerful.

Location was a good part of town and was worried about leaving my car in the car park.

I loved everything the hotel was lovely, staff very welcoming and informative. Also being able to have our puppy stay was great due to our long distance. Room very spacious and clean. Bath was so deep and had everything you needed from toiletries to tea, coffee and loads of milk. Very friendly environment and pub downstairs was nice and everyone friendly.

The matress on the beds was my only thing due to having a bad back. Beds were too soft and springs in my back and only 1 pillow.

The place was clean and okay for a short stay. Nothing special, but for the price we paid, it was absolutely fine and did the job. Good option if you’re looking for somewhere affordable for a night.

The room was above a bar, so it was quite noisy, and there was also a lot of noise coming from the street. However, it was Saturday night, so this was somewhat expected. The main downside for us was that the bed was quite uncomfortable. But overall, considering the low price, you get what you pay for.
