Breakfast was wonderful. I loved the historic ambiance of the hotel, including having various artifacts and antiques around. The enclosed courtyard is a lovely place to have breakfast. The location was great - a short walk from the square, but on a quiet side road.

The only thing I didn't like is that the button outside the hotel that you need to press to have security let you in was too high for this short lady to reach! Also, if you are doing a tour, the buses can't make it to the hotel because of the small street so you may need to walk down the road. You do need to be able to go up stairs to get into the hotel so it's not good if you are mobility impaired.

Very authentic and quirky, close to some great spots to see.

Great location. Room and bed were comfortable. Some staff very helpful regarding helping with large luggage. Balcony on 4th floor cool

Our fire alarm was triggered by a hot shower and we got a call and simultaneously knocking at the door whilst undressed being accused by staff of smoking in the room. I appreciate smoking in a hotel room is a serious offence however the smoke alarm is clearly improperly positioned/set up if a shower can set it off. The curtains on the window do not cover it properly and it leads out to the street so it lets light in and if someone was really trying they could see in. Doors & windows allowing a lot of sound in from all directions.
