Kentisbury Grange

This place is absolutely beautiful, a hidden gem right on my door step.I booked last minute with my daughter and wasn't disappointed. Lovely staff , beautiful rooms ,the most excellent breakfast .A real treat we will be back !

Location - The cottage was fantastic - The food was excellent -The staff in the bar and restaurant were very good.

The cleaners were not the best during our visit.

The accommodation was comfortable, with a particularly spacious bathroom. The restaurant was excellent, both in the evening and at breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The information suggested that the room would have a sitting area, but this was not really the case, with just a small chaise longue and a bucket chair for the dressing table. You have to walk outside from the hotel to the restaurant; OK when the weather is good, but if it was raining this would be less than ideal, though umbrellas were available. There were a few small issues in the room with some lights not working and a loose carpet on the step to the bathroom, which should have been seen and sorted before the room was allocated.

Peaceful at night and comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely. House itself and the surrounding land are beautiful. Nice complimentary shortbread provided.

Poor TV connection/quality, no hand wash, no drinking water supplied like most hotels, curtains over the main window broken (partner had to climb up to actually ensure they were shut for the night!), blind in bathroom broken so quite dark in there, lamp on dressing table not working. Never any reception staff, waited some time to check out so ended up just leaving the key with another staff at the bar. It is a 4 star so I did expect a lot more! Also the entrance to the beautiful main house has been spolit by the ghastly wall paper, it reminded us of Doreen from Birds of a Feather!
