How can I write a review about an exceptional place without raising the expectations to much. You can always find something that is not perfect but this former hospital for poor people, 1830, the outfit and arrangements of the rooms, the hallways and the breakfast room are just gorgeous. Together with the friendly people around and the location it's near to being perfect. And when you have time, go and look around and discover the things hanging at the wall, being in the cupboards or standing in the hallway. The dismantled piano, the pyramid of monkeys, the books from 18xx. You might get lost in it.

I haven’t had any expectations, so for me nothing to complain about. Some people might think the breakfast can be more extensive or the shower bigger. Arriving with a car can be an adventure since the crossing to the parking lot at the hotel is quite narrow.

Great location in the centre of the old town, not far from the station, and quiet at night. A superb breakfast from Dante, who was a friendly and very helpful host. Good-sized room with a comfy bed, a kettle and a mini-fridge. Two armchairs for watching TV.
