Grand Hotel Alingsås

The location was perfect, close to the train station, but also, being a small town, close to everything else. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I am not used to the sound of traffic outside - so having a room right on the street felt noisy to me. I was disappointed that it was a showergel/shampoo all in one offering in the shower - rather than separate shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Body/hair gel is never as nice on the hair. There was not a good selection of vegan options for breakfast - no warm vegan food at all... and nothing that felt like one could put together a selection of well composed breakfasts... I am not vegan myself, so I had options, but as mother of vegans this is something I notice in every hotel I stay in - whether they cater for all.

The location is absolutely perfect, near the train station and town centre. The room was small but clean and had everything I needed. The pillows are so comfortable! I usually hate hotels' stiff and cheap piloows, but these were soft and comfy. The breakfast is great, and the staff is lovely and helpful.

Bardzo przyjemny hotel. Smaczne śniadania.

Hotel ma dwa budynki. Niestety ulokowano mnie w drugim i musiałem na śniadanie przejść do budynku głównego - nie ma z tym problemu o ile jest dobra pogoda. Niestety dość drogi, ale to Skandynawia. WiFi bardzo słabe.

I liked the location in the city centre, next to the train station.

The room was small and the sound insulation was problematic.
