McDreams Hotel Wuppertal City

The room was very clean and the bed linen was great quality and crisp clean. Towels were great too. The hotel is fantastic value for money as a stopover. There are no facilities on site, but it is next door to a supermarket and restaurants, and a short walk to an wonderful bar called Zwiestein. Internet was excellet.

Lack of manned reception - checking in automatcialy on line and having a number sent to you to open your door. Luckily when we arrived there was someone on reception, think his name was Tom - he was incredibly helpful and gave us all keys. The position of the hotel is very noisy at night - it did calm down but there was some anti social behaviour in the car park - a car racing round. Then very early in the moring around 6am there was a huge delivery truck for one of the shops that made a lot of noise for at least an hour. So didn't get great sleep, but it was ok for 1 night.

Everything worked as it should

The cleaners opened my door two hours ahead of my checkout time to start cleaning, which was annoying and disturbed me. I do not expect to be disturbed before my check out time.

Nice location, close to public transport and stores

Bit hot in the morning

Rooms are clean and functional and comfortable.

Check in was somewhat hard, since I had to deal with an automated LLM in order to get a locker to put my stuff for a bit.
