Good price for the room and good location

We had no window which wasn’t an issue but because there was no window we had an exit sign above the door which wasn’t lit up green and lit up half the room all night. The beds weren’t very comfy and the reception staff were extremely rude, looked like she didn’t want to be there.

The property was in a good location as it was only a 10 minute walk to Haymarket tram station which gets you to the city centre quite quickly and it was close to deans village.

When we got into our room it didn’t look like the pictures, bits of the carpet were torn, the walls had stains and chips in them, the bed was wonky and a stain on the bed sheet which we asked them to change and even though we knew there was no room service they handed us the sheets to change it ourselves which shouldn’t be the case for the prices you pay. The bath had multiple chips, and a stain of what I’m guessing was a slip matt engraved on the bottom. There was also a used contact lens on the bathroom floor along with it being dusty, another thing about the bathroom was that the shower had little to no pressure and would spray everywhere including down the side of the bathtub onto the floor. We asked for a room change within half an hour of us being there and they said they were fully booked and to go back the next morning to check again, we ended up staying in the room to avoid a hassle.
