Hotel GHT Simeon

Great price comparing to other accommodations with higher ratings. The hotel is old but clean and it has everything you need for a couple of nights stay, and so close to the beach which is priceless.

There were two twin beds combined instead of a double bed, which is quite usual and that’s ok. Only issue is that the bed table between the twin beds is incorporated into the wall, so the two beds had to be loved slightly in front in order to avoid the table, so it left quite a space between the bed and wall and it felt uncomfortable

No parking

The location of the hotel is perfect. Having stayed here 2/3 times many years ago when it was independently owned we knew the location well. Tossa is a lovely place and despite it being about 20 Years since our last visit it retains its charms ! The beach and castle are stunning & the beach bar is a great place for lunch during the day. There’s literally hundreds of lovely places to eat & one can shop shop shop if that’s your thing ! We ventured up, around & through the castle again & still enjoyed it all!

When we saw the hotel had been taken over by a big chain - we booked to stay here again assuming / hoping the facilities had been significantly improved. We were hugely disappointed as they have not. We knew the rooms were basic but the beds were simply not of the standard travellers are used to nowadays. And to be honest - the bathroom is disgraceful. It’s in need of an urgent upgrade to say the least. We paid for breakfast: when we went for breakfast there was a set menu offeras the paid for breakfast which was the most sparse breakfast offer of our 3 weeks of travel ! But there was a full menu on each table - when I asked for something from that menu on our first morning I was told the cook was sick so nothing from that menu was available. The following day I saw a Spanish lady being served from the menu - so I asked for scrambled eggs to be told we have no eggs this time ! On our last morning - I went to order our set menu breakfast - a croissant or toasties juice & coffee - and said we’d be sitting in the garden as we had done previously- to be told - we’re not serving in the garden this morning- despite us seeing a group of about 10 Spanish guests sitting there when we came down. The hotel has the location to make it highly sought after - but from our experience I truly can’t recommend it .
