Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent food from the restaurant. A large room with a very comfortable bed. Convenient parking, with plenty of spaces.

Breakfast was slow, even though there was only one other guest - we had baked croissants the first morning, which took more than 15 minutes to produce (apparently cooked from fresh, but that's too long to wait for croissants). The full English (which was excellent) we had the next morning appeared in about half that time.

The rooms were spacious and well stocked with toiletries and coffee making facilities , the private entrance made it easy to come and go

Good sized room. Comfortable. Quiet. Good breakfast.

Great restaurant food and excellent beer, most of the staff were very pleasant and engaging.

Room was basic but clean and tidy; unfortunately it was very noisy from the road and cold (no heating available). Early breakfast seems to be a challenge; on my first morning I knew that I needed to be out before breakfast started and I was provided with a packed lunch in lieu which was fine. On the evening of day 1 the bearded guy behind the bar, the exception to my comment above about the staff, asked if I was having breakfast the next day. When I said yes he suggested 8:30. As I needed to leave for work by 7:30 I asked what time was the earliest, he told me 7:00 to 7:15 so I opted for 7:15 as this would be tight but he made me feel like I was being unreasonable to even ask. In the morning I got down at about 07:05 to find the very pleasant breakfast hostess who told me the chef wouldn’t even arrive until 7:15 so I went without again as there simply wasn’t time to wait for the chef to get the kitchen ready, cook my food and for me to eat. I asked for breakfast at 7:15 and expected the kitchen to be ready to at least take my order and start cooking it at that time, not once everything had been warmed up.
