B&B Agon

I stayed there for 5 nights and found it really a fantastic B&B with a very welcoming hostess, Lya. She is such a warm and gentle person. I consider my self very lucky to have bumped into this place on Booking. The high ratings are very much deserved. I even would en did score it a 10/10. Why you ask? A very clean, spacious, beautiful decorated room with sea sight. A healthy breakfast with fresh ingredients right from the local bakery and/or butcher shop. A train station right across the B&B, you can go literally everywhere from there (if the public transport goes along;-)...but the heart and soul of this hidden gem is Lya. She welcomes every guest with the same hospitality and kindness. I will return!

Actually nothing. If I really had to say something it is the connection from Taormina centre, if you have to rely on the public transport to get back late in the evening. A golden tip when you get on the bus...buy your return ticket right away. Especially in the evening, after 9PM. The bus station in Taormina is packed with people all want to get back down to Taormina - Giardini translation (your stop across the B&B). But Lya will point it out to you. ;-)

Right across from the train and bus station, yet surprisingly quiet! Very convenient 10 min bus ride into Taormina. The room was clean and very comfortable. Lya was incredibly helpful and kind, she went out of her way to help me when my flight was cancelled. Lovely breakfast as well ♥️

Lya was a wonderful host, a great communicator and had all the time to chat, tell you what there is to see and do in and around Taormina, providing a map and written directions. The breakfast was served in the dining room, and it was a great opportunity to meet other travellers and chat about experiences and places to see. The breakfast itself was delicious, a buffet that had everything you need, and a bit more 😉😉 Also, Agon is literally just over the road from the train and bus station, so VERY handy!! If I was to come back to Taormina, I would stay here again, no doubt!!

Lya our host was lovely. the location is 2 mins from the train station and 5 mins or 10 mins to Tormina on the bus which stops outside the train station. The breakfast was great and Lya offered to cook eggs or make toasties and the pastries and bread was delicious. I left a bag with swim wear in my room and Lya brought them to train station to me ❤

The room is very old fashioned, the bedding and towels could do with some updating and or adding fabric conditioner. The shower is very small, not to bad for me but my husband is 6'2 and found it difficult to move around.
