Siri Beach Lodge

We stayed at several different accommodations during our trip around Zanzibar, but I can confidently say that this was the most welcoming and hospitable place we stayed at on the entire island. The difference was made by the incredible staff, who made us feel at home from the very first moment. We arrived very early in the morning, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The staff welcomed us with smiles, carried our luggage to our room, and made sure we felt comfortable. The supervisor was absolutely lovely and took the time to answer all our questions, giving us helpful recommendations about where to eat, where to swim, how to get around, currency exchange, laundry, and everything else we needed to know. She was always kind, patient, and happy to help. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was, without a doubt, the most delicious we had in Zanzibar! Everything tasted homemade, fresh, and prepared with so much care. It felts like having breakfast at someone's home rather than at a hotel. I will never forget the porridge and the omelette, freshly prepared right in front of us by the lovely ladies who were always smiling and eager to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Every single member of the staff was consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive. They always greeted us with a smile and made us feel truly appreciated as guests. After exploring different parts of Zanzibar and staying in several accommodations, this place stood out above all the others, not necessarily because of its facilities, but because of the people who work there and the genuine warmth they bring to the experience.

The only negative point we noticed was a musty smell in our room, probably caused by humidity. We mentioned it to supervisor who explained that the walls had likely absorbed moisture due to the unusually rainy weather throughout September, which they hadn't expected. Unfortunately, the smell didn't improve over the following days. We tried spraying our own air freshener, which helped temporarily, and eventually, we got used to it after a few hours. Apart from this issue, everything else about our stay was wonderful

Where do I start... Charlotte was an amazing host, and helped us with our delayed luggage. The accommodation is lovely, the rooms are nice and clean, there's a garden where you can chill and have breakfast outdoors. The breakfast was so good, we loved the eggs, coffee, and pancakes and the staff were so nice. Look no further, this place has everything you need!

Bathroom door could not be locked. Breakfast options were very limited and didn’t seem hygienic. Staff could not communicate well, only the owner could but she was not available throughout.
