Locanda Correr

It was unreal I wasn’t expecting the room to look as gorgeous as it did

How difficult it was finding it

Very spacious room with comfortable beds and a recently renovated bathroom. Very soundproof room and had a quiet stay. The accommodation is located halfway down a quiet alley so its close enough to the main attractions (only 5-6 minute walk to the main plaza!) but also very quiet. Staff are super friendly and lovely, especially the nonna serving breakfast. Breakfast is 12euro and is continental but works if you need a quick bite before heading out on your day. Otherwise there are loads of cafes a minute walk away.

Room has standalone AC which does make some slight noise (as an AC would) but it works well to keep the room cool. I didn't have a problem sleeping and my partner wore earplugs and it was fine (they're more noise sensitive).

Location of Locanda Correr is excellent, it is minutes away from San Marco. It is quiet and calm, you can take your rest in full silence. Staff is very friendly.

As in all Venice, A/C is portable and cools the room very well. It is a bit noisy, though, but not unbearable. I don't want to say that we didnot like it, writing it as a note only.

The property was located near a few restaurants and not far from a few points of interest.

Every time you leave the room you have to return the keys to the property nearby (where you actually do the check-in/check-out), which is really inconvenient, plus the man working there wasn't very nice when we questioned why we had to do this. The room was dirty when we arrived (random empty water bottle in a corner, cobwebs everywhere,..) and the property was located in a "hidden alley", which made it hard to find and it felt a bit unsafe. I don't know if the AC didn't work very well or if the room wasn't properly insulated, but we woke up multiple times in the middle of the night because of how cold it was.
