The 1645 Inn

Great location, very handy for Nairn without the noise of staying in the town. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar decor was lovely with a lot of warm rustic charm and the room decor was nice too. Mother hen with 3 little babies happily wandering about outside the main door was a lovely little surprise too!

We did have an issue with the shower in our room not working. The Inn was fully booked so we couldn't move to another room and just had to wash in the small sink instead. The owner was very apologetic about it in the morning so not the end of the world but still not ideal, especially after attending a ceilidh! Food wise, menu was very limited and the food took quite a while to arrive despite the bar not being busy. There was also a mistake made in the kitchen resulting in my adapted burger coming out with melted cheese on it when I had clearly stated that I needed dairy free. Definitely a kitchen mistake as I saw the server write DF clearly on our ticket. My meal was remade and was very tasty when I finally got it but by then my husband had finished eating and we were running out of time to get to an event.

A cosy wee place. Comfortable beds in our twin room.

The radiator in our room was broken however after letting staff know, they came to our room with a free-standing heater. They were very apologetic about the situation. Room & more so the bathroom were a little tired looking. Also, we could hear people in the rooms nearby quite clearly. Thankfully, we'd brought our ear plugs!
