The location is very quiet, the room was of good size and it had an excellent lighting. Good water pressure in the bathroom. Great wifi. A kettle and teas were provided in the room, but no refrigerator.
1. The night shift staff member spoke no English and was not trained well: he didn’t know how to check-in guests with foreign credit cards ( no-PIN, but signature confirmation, like with usa cards). The only option he gave me was to “go look for a cash machine” at 11 pm at night. He refused to let me in and pay the next day to a manager and he didn’t call any senior for help. When I arrived, the ring at the small gate didn’t work, and he didn’t make an effort to get up and tell me to go to the car entrance. No sign on a small gate explaining where the entrance is. The other 2 staff members, that I met later, spoke limited English, so communication about problems was hard.
2. The cleaning staff starts cleaning at 8:00, making a lot of noise and talking loudly to each other across the rooms. Why?? The cleaning should be done between checkout and check-in times, isn’t it?
3. The synthetic blanket was very hot, but it is cheap, I know.
4. I was happy that I could sleep with an open window, because it was such quiet area, unfortunately, there were mosquitoes and no mosquito nets.

So many well-positioned lights in the room! Lots of hotels these days lack that. Good-sized bed, fluffy pillows. Air conditioning worked well. Surface lot parking behind an automatic gate was secure. Front patio area was very inviting.
I was not given the gate code prior to arrival, and when I called the provided phone number while parked illegally outside the gate, the clerk hung up on me because I could not speak French and he could not speak English. Luckily, an English-speaking guest in the patio area helped me out with the code. Also, the shower curtain hooks were present, but an actual shower curtain was not, which made a wet mess in the tiny bathroom even though I was being extra cautious. Lastly, there was a weird irregular quick “buzz” sound, outside the room but heard inside, every few minutes, especially noticeable as I was winding down to sleep.

This was surprisingly nice and friendly hotel for a 2 star and I have stayed in a few 2 star hotels on this trip. Good location on the edge of the city. Excellent evening meal from a set menu.
