Good apartment, very clean, great location

Bed quilts could be a bit thicker, but weather was very cold. Extra pillow would be great. Good location. Tea, Coffee cleaning stuff etc provided. Tv needed Netflix code which we couldnt remember but that was our fault, could still get music through UTube. Only problem was nowhere to store cases after checkout until evening flight. We did manage to find a place though in the old town for around £2.

Niby czysto.. ale jednak nie do końca. Zwinięta skarpetka pod rozkładanym łóżkiem i pełno kurzu pod nim w kątach.

The location is fantastic and very cheap, as it is only a 7 minute walk away from Old Town. The apartment was clean, and the inclusion of a fridge, toaster and stove top was fantastic. Basic kitchen cutlery (which is all you need) and a washing machine if required. TV in the bedroom was also a plus, with plenty of power sockets in the apartment.

The vent allowed a lot of noise from the other apartment, to the point where I could understand conversations clearly. The bedding and towels were uncomfortable and scratchy for me (I would have happily paid extra for better quality). The WiFi was not available, and I contacted the number they had provided via WhatsApp to resolve the issue. The message was read with no response! However there was another source of WiFi I was thankfully able to connect to. The blinds could also be dimmer to stop as much light coming in, as the courtyard lights are on 24/7.

Location

We stayed in this apartment towards the end of January. The reservation, payment, and overall communication went smoothly, and the check-in itself was very easy, even though we arrived early in the morning. The apartment is nice, but it lacks several basic necessities. The biggest issue was the heating. There is only one electric radiator in the entire apartment, and it is located in the bathroom, which makes it completely useless for heating the apartment. There is also a thermostat in the apartment that is supposedly used to control the heating and adjust the temperature. The problem occurred when we tried to increase the temperature — it would only go up to a maximum of 22.1°C, which is completely insufficient given the low winter temperatures in Krakow. Additionally, the apartment is located in the basement, which makes it even colder. We informed the host about this issue. She did respond and told us that the apartment has underfloor heating, but she was unable to explain how the thermostat works. In the end, we had to try figuring it out ourselves using the instructions, but without success — after an hour, the temperature did not increase even by one degree. Eventually, the host sent someone to check why the heating was not working. The man did exactly the same things we had already tried and told us that the temperature would rise within 15 minutes. He also added that it was possible the apartment did not even have underfloor heating. Of course, the temperature never increased. As a result, we had to spend two more nights in the apartment at around 20°C. On top of that, cold air was coming in through the bottom and the side of the entrance door, so we had to block the door with towels. This was completely unprofessional and inhumane. I cannot imagine a family with children staying in this apartment under such conditions. I do not understand how such an apartment can be rented out, especially during winter.
