Unser Chalet im Mare e Monti lag ganz oben in der Anlage und wir hatten einen sehr schönen Ausblick auf den Golf und die Küste. Mit unserem Fernglas (Empfehlung) konnten wir das Treiben auf dem Wasser ausgezeichnet beobachten. Die große Terrasse liegt inmitten von Olivenbäumen und deshalb stets angenehm im Schatten. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, es gibt keinen Backofen, aber alles andere Notwendige war vorhanden. Im Chalet ist ausreichend Platz für 2 Personen gewesen. Da wir einen E- Mietwagen hatten, war es sehr nützlich, dass die Anlage eine Ladesäule besitzt. Der Badestrand ist fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Man kann in der geschützten Bucht ausgezeichnet schwimmen! Hinter der Anlage verläuft ein sehr schöner Wanderweg.

Établissement très calme, et proche de la plage. À disposition kayak et parasol! L’emplacement des chalets fait que l’on est dans un petit cocon espacé des voisins Accueil très sympathique

Confort des lits simples à revoir

We enjoyed our stay at Mare E Monti. The chalets are in the most perfect location with beautiful views of the sea and mountains. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always very helpful. The campsite is well cared for and the gardens are very pretty. It was less than 5 minutes walk to the beach or to the small supermarket! The aircon was very welcome in 33 degrees heat. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a dishwasher! We had a problem with ants but that was sorted immediately after reporting it. We also found the tv wasn’t working, but that was simply a battery problem in the remote…again sorted out immediately. A particularly nice touch was the availability of beach umbrellas to borrow as well as other equipment if needed. Porto Pollo is a lovely small fishing village with several restaurants, a Boulangerie, and a great beach that was never particularly busy plus a small marina. This made a useful base to explore Ajaccio, Bonifacio, Porto Vechio as well as inland villages like Sartene, Olmetto and Filitosa…all worth a visit. Porto Pollo also positioned us well for many spectacular beaches. We had an amazing boat trip from Positano, another small town worth visiting.

The chalets are lovely but could use a little upgrading and some decent furniture. The bed was comfortable but could have done with some nicer bedding. No aircon in the bedroom which meant we had to leave the bedroom door open to the living room all night but that wasn’t too big a problem! It is quite a challenge to operate the gate to the car park both on entry and exit, I simply couldn’t drive close enough to the operating panel to enter the code, so had to get out of the car to do so.

De huisjes. Het is het net niet. Voor een dergelijke prijs verwacht je wat meer.
