Ranthari Hotel and Spa Ukulhas Maldives

At the moment probably one the best hotels on the local island. Soon there will be even bigger hotel but for now it’s normal euro style hotel 3/4 stars. They provide swimming equipment but we brought our. They have nice restaurant breakfast was basic maybe it was low season. Staff very helpful and nice. Cleaning every day. Beach side is great and its very close to the hotel. From local island you could get to at least 3 luxury resorts island for day trips currently enty cost 65 usd per person but transfer may cost a lot. Manta trip with swim with sharks and small island was one of the best experiences price just 75 usd per person highly recommend the agency near port Atlantis Tours and Excursions !

If you will be offered activities from hotel better to skip them as found much better deals with excellent service compared to hotel excursions.

If you are contemplating a stay on Ukulhas, don't even question whether the Ranthari Hotel is the right choice or not - just book it. Perfect location, perfect welcome on arrival at the speedboat dock, excellent check-in and information about the hotel, along with a welcome drink. We couldn't have asked for more. Rezaul, Mustafa, and the rest of the staff were an absolute joy and we will do our best to go back. We particularly appreciated their advice and information, the tours we booked with expert crew (do them all!) and their kindness towards us. The food was of a high standard, there was good variety, and it was prepared in a very clean 'open view' kitchen. The room had everything we needed and was serviced daily. And the view from the room - amazing. The ability to walk out of the hotel and onto the sand was superb. The reef was right in front - much of the coral is damaged as you swim out about 50m to the reef's edge, but here it is reasonably healthy and abundant with fish. We saw it all, including a rare lionfish and turtles. There is some construction underway on the island - more hotels, a police station and a medical centre. While we could hear the construction a bit during the day, it didn't detract at all and there was no noise at night. The people on the island are courteous and it's incredible safe to walk around - we let our teenagers roam freely and reminded them to be respectful of the local culture. We cannot thank this hotel and its staff enough. Honestly, it was an incredible week...

The only minor comment was that the pillows were a bit 'high' - we're used to lower pillows, but this is a personal choice.

The best hotel on the island. I’ve walked the whole island many times looking at the other hotels and trust me this is the best. Always staff in the reception with smiles and greetings. Delicious breakfast buffet with add on eggs if you wish. Espresso machine. Plus free tea/coffee all day. Rizaul and the whole staff could not be kinder or more helpful. Available all day long to help. Best beach steps from the hotel. Enjoy meals on the beach under the palm trees if you wish. Sparkling clean everywhere with fresh lemongrass smells when your room is cleaned daily. The rooftop pool is fabulous too and fill up your water bottle while you’re up there with fresh drinking water. Quiet peaceful safe island and wonderful staff and vacation.

The location was perfect, several steps away from the beach.

1. I booked a room with balcony and sea view, and asked the hotel if I could get a room with better view two days beforehand, they did not reject me. I ended up getting a palm tree view room. Therefore, I kindly asked the receptionist if I could get a room on a higher level, he said, “oh sorry we cannot cut the palm trees.” Am I asking you to cut the trees? I just wanted to know what happened since I already expressed my need for the view DAYS before I checked in. 2. My bed sheet was dirty.
