I loved the amount of space in the room. I think the first accomendation in Japan where I could store my luggage properly. The breakfast and dinner was amazing lots of choice. The private onsens were easy to use and many options. The staff very friendly. I also booked a massage and it was one of the best massages I had in a while. Overall this accomendation has everything you need, with the convenient store downstairs.
The toilet had a weird smell.

We loved this whole experience and would return. We enjoyed the shoe-free environment and kimono robes, as well as the restaurant buffet. The private onsen rooms were incredible and we may have tried them all. Walking in town at night to the bamboo grove was a treat and the sound of the river was soothing. This was a great breather between our Tokyo and Osaka stays and wonderful for families, couples and solo travelers.

Lovely location in beautiful Shuzenji. Room had all we needed and we enjoyed the private onsen.
Unfortunately due to arriving late from Tokyo we were unable to have dinner at the property. They had a small shop so we were able to get a few bits. Needed some updating in places but an authentic stay.
