Monique, our host, was so welcoming and accommodating. She was delightful! We loved our stay at this property and highly recommend it! If we get back to Leiden, we won’t hesitate to stay here again.
There was nothing that we didn’t like so these are just a couple of suggestions: Have a make-up mirror available in the suite. It’s helpful when there are two females traveling together so one can be getting ready in the bathroom while the other is in the suite. Also, a fan would have been helpful as it was quite warm outside when we were there.

The location is absolutely perfect! The train station, Leiden University, and the city market are all a comfortable 10-minute walk or less. Tea, coffee, and toiletries were available. Monique paid attention to every detail. She was easy to communicate with, and even complemented us with a bottle of champagne upon arrival, which was a very nice touch. We highly recommend Monique's loft for a party of two or three!

Good location, large room, comfortable bed.
Beautiful view onto the canal and pleasant terrace overlooking the canal. Monique was lovely and a great host.
The stairs were very manageable but note if you have difficulty with stairs or a large heavy suitcase it would be more difficult.
