Zane Grey Pueblo Hotel

we were shown exceptional hospitality by everyone on property! I was pleasantly surprised to find out about the drivers on call & free breakfast!!

the other reviews warned me but it could be cleaner…

The view outside the window is spectacular. It’s my favorite part of this place. The staff are all very friendly.

The room’s cleanliness needs improvement. At first glance, it looked clean, but the floors clearly hadn’t been properly mopped—there was hair in several places. I ended up buying cleaning supplies and mopping the floor twice myself. Also, the quality of the toiletries, including the body wash and toilet paper, was far below what I would expect from a hotel that charges around $1,000 per night. The room could also use an air freshener. It had an unpleasant smell when we first walked in.

Property was lovely. The historic site is built on the hill, with incredible views of the bay and downtown Avalon.

It is set outside of town, so if you don’t want to walk up and down the hill, it can be a pain- but there is a golf cart that can pick you up and drop you off by request. The property was a bit sleepy during our weeknight.

The view from our room was fabulous, but we had to pay $1000 a night to get a room with a view and the property has no services. So it’s more like a self service hotel. There is a driver to pickup at the ferry.

The property has no food or drinks available on the property and it’s a 10 -15 minute walk up or down a steep hill to find any food or drinks. Pool looks more like motel pool and need to bring food/drinks you’d like. The new rooms require taking an elevator and then walking up with your suitcases three flights of stairs. It was fine for us, but others may want to take note. There is no assistance, and really no assistance from the front desk.
