Bagenal Harvey Cottage- Norman Castle Cottage Beautifully Restored
Nowo wyremontowane chałupy zamkowe znajdują się na liście zabytków i otaczają wspaniały zamek z XVI wieku (Tower House). Butlerstown jest własnością tej samej rodziny od wielu pokoleń, a obecni właściciele od wielu lat życzyli sobie, aby jego piękno i spokój były bardziej dostępne dla publiczności. Położony na 100 akrach farmy i lasu, w najbardziej nasłonecznionym zakątku Irlandii, jesteśmy zaledwie 10 minut jazdy od najbliższej dobrej plaży. Zamkowe chaty mają swój własny Ogród Herb i Lawendy Haggard, a dla dzieci jest małe boisko do piłki nożnej. Dobre lokalne restauracje, puby (takie jak pub / restauracja Lobster Pot), stajnie jeździeckie, pola golfowe, muzea i zabytki ptaków (takie jak Wyspy Saltee, North Slob i Jezioro Tacumshin) znajdują się w odległości krótkiego spaceru. Osły i inne zwierzęta domowe oraz tradycyjnie prowadzony ogród warzywny, starożytna studnia i inne szczególne cechy sprawiają, że Butlerstown jest wyjątkowym miejscem.

The property was everything we hoped. A homey, immaculately clean cottage, sweet sheep nearby, and lovely gardens. The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 and another couple. We felt absolutely at home. Comfy beds, a small but functional kitchen, and all the charm we were hoping for. We can't recommend it enough!

Very unique and historic home. Awesome castle complex with lots of period details, be sure to ask host for a tour of the castle & grounds - it was a highlight of our Ireland trip!!

A Magical Stay in a Piece of History We absolutely loved our time at Bagenal Harvey Cottage. The restoration work is stunning—every stone and timber feels steeped in history, yet the space is warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully modernized. The kitchen was well-equipped, perfect for cozy meals after exploring the countryside.The location is very peaceful and atmospheric, with the castle’s presence adding a sense of timelessness to the whole experience. It was ideal for our family—safe, spacious, and full of character.Our host was gracious and responsive, offering helpful tips and making us feel genuinely welcome. We especially appreciated the attention to detail throughout the cottage—from the linens to everything was curated with care.Jim took us on an amazing tour of the Norman tower, and of the beautiful gardens. Both my daughters, absolutely loved being able to feed the donkeys and sheep. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a unique and memorable Irish getaway. The only sad part about this trip was not being able to stay there longer. We’ll be dreaming of this place for years to come.

Anna and Jim were wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed the tour of the Castle tower with JimAlso feeding the donkey apples was fun.
