From when we arrived at the property a little earlier than we thought Karl was the perfect host … we were shown to our room & shown where everything was & how to use the facilities. The room was very comfy & the breakfast was excellent everything was cooked fresh along with an array of cereals & homemade produce. We will definitely be booking again in the future

If I had one very small critique I would say the mattress could be better.. memory foam rather than a sprung one but it did not detract from our stay

For me personally, this was a truly magical place to stay. I visit many different places, but when you can honestly say that you feel at home somewhere, surrounded by people who take such wonderful care of you and treat you with genuine warmth, kindness and friendliness, you know you have found something special. It is a place where someone is waiting for you and welcomes you so warmly that, from the very first moment, you feel like the most important person in the world. We stayed for just one night, but we left with beautiful, heartwarming memories that will stay with us forever. The room was beautiful, nostalgic and wonderfully English in style. We slept incredibly well. The mattresses were so comfortable, and the fresh, beautifully scented bed linen made us feel as though we were sleeping on a cloud. We slept like babies, and the children absolutely loved it! The little touches in the room, such as coffee, tea and biscuits, are not something you can take for granted everywhere. Here, you can truly feel that the owners care about their guests and want them to feel welcome and comfortable. And then I must mention what was, for me, the smallest restaurant in the world — and it was simply wonderful! While waiting for breakfast, you find yourself sitting beside people from all corners of the world, and a lovely conversation naturally begins. It is another one of those special moments when you realise that, somehow, you have stepped into a different world — a simpler, more genuine world, like the old days when people truly connected with one another. The owners are incredibly kind and lovely people, and I am already so excited about returning. This is one of those places that you simply have to come back to. The house is beautiful, both inside and out, and it feels safe and welcoming. I must say that nothing compares to genuine human connection, and it is clear that the owners run their business with love and passion.

Lovely, comfortable, clean room. The hosts were delightfully friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the homemade marmalade delicious.

Our room was quite shabby and needs to be updated and redecorated. Blinds need replacing urgently. Karl and Jude were very welcoming and were keen to ensure we had everything we needed.
