Disgraceful!!!!! STAY AWAY

Nothing!!!! The 2 girls working in the bar were very helpful.

When we arrived at the property, there was a man standing at the door of the apartment but while we were parking he disappeared. We were told by the staff in the bar that the key to the apartment would either be under the mat or in the door. When we arrived, the key was in neither location. We returned to the bar and spoke to the staff again. They contacted the owner and he said it would be ready within 10 mins. Unfortunately, upon entering the apartment, it was immediately obvious that it had not been properly cleaned. The apartment was filthy, and the bed linen had clearly not been changed. There were visible head imprints on the pillows, and the sheets on all of the beds appeared to have been slept in. In addition, one duvet did not even have a duvet cover. There was also only 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel for 5 guests. We went back downstairs and informed the staff in the bar. They advised that they had no responsibility for the accommodation but said they would contact the owner. They also came to view the apartment themselves and agreed that it was in an unacceptable condition. After several discussions, the cleaner was contacted and eventually arrived at the property. Unfortunately, she spoke very disrespectfully to the member of our group who had booked the accommodation. She repeatedly claimed that the state of the apartment was our fault, suggesting that we had caused the mess by pulling back the bed covers and that we had put rubbish into the bin ourselves. She insisted that she had cleaned the apartment the previous day. When one member of our group pointed out that the apartment clearly had not been cleaned and that a clean carried out the previous day would not excuse its condition, the cleaner stated that she had been under a great deal of stress the day before but maintained that the apartment had been cleaned. She stated that she had changed the bed clothes but they had not been ironed and this was the reason for the wrinkles.

It was a beautiful apartment in a lovely setting in the harbour but...

It was over a very busy, very popular pub. On the night we stayed there was a wedding with music until 1am - we got no sleep.
